Turkish Airlines flight lands after a bomb threat

A Turkish Airlines flight from New York to Istanbul was diverted to Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Canada, after a bomb threat.

After the emergency landing of the aircraft, Royal Canadian Mounted Police evacuated the aircraft carrying 256 passengers and crew members and started searching the aircraft for explosives.

Bomb Threat Diverts Turkish Plane to Canada

A Turkish Airlines flight en route to Turkey from New York has been diverted to Canada following a bomb threat, according to Canadian officials.

The bomb alert was received at 02:50 after the plane had taken off from the John F Kennedy International Airport, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police office for Nova Scotia said on Twitter.

Turkish Airlines plane makes forced landing in Istanbul

Turkish Airlines has been subjected to yet another hoax bomb call, this time on a plane heading from Oslo to Istanbul.

A Turkish Airlines plane flying on Aug. 13 from Oslo to Istanbul had to make an emergency landing at Istanbul's Atatürk Airport, which was its original destination, after a bomb threat. 

Turkish Airlines to launch direct flights to Miami

Turkish Airlines (THY), Turkey's national flag-carrier, will begin direct flights to Miami on Oct. 25, the company announced on May 13.

The move makes Miami the company's 12th destination in the Americas, on top of existing services to Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Toronto, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Washington, Boston, Montreal and San Francisco.

Turkish Airlines plane en route to Lisbon lands in Istanbul over bomb scare

A Turkish Airlines (THY) plane flying from Istanbul to Portugal returned to Istanbul Atatürk Airport on April 1 after a bomb threat.

Security measures were taken near the plane.

On March 30, another THY plane traveling from Istanbul to Sao Paolo made an emergency landing in Casablanca.
