Twitter revamped its timeline on Feb. 10 , allowing the "best" tweets to rise to the top, despite warnings of a revolt from members loyal to the real-time flow of the messaging platform.

Twitter said on Feb. 5 it suspended more than 125,000 accounts, most of them linked to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group, as part of increased efforts to eradicate "terrorist content" on the popular messaging platform.

Turkey's communications technologies authority, the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK), has fined micro blogging site Twitter 150,000 lira ($51,000.) for not removing content it says is "terrorist propaganda", a BTK official told Reuters on Dec. 11.
