Former Turkish president Gül's Twitter account hacked
More than six million followers of Turkey's former president Abdullah Gül saw a series of nationalist messages on his Twitter account after it was hacked on April 4.
Anonymous hackers who seized the verified account, @cbabdullahgul, posted Pan-Turkist messages, while also criticizing political Islam.

Turkey?s requests to remove content from Twitter increased by 156 percent in the second half of 2014, according to the microblogging site?s biannual transparency report.
Overall, Twitter said the total number of removal requests had increased by 84 percent from the previous period, while the total number of affected accounts increased by 348 percent.
Watchdog denies ban of 2 hours on Twitter
Twitter has not been blocked in Turkey, the country's telecommunications watchdog said Dec. 15.
The watchdog made the clarification after Twitter users complained they were unable to access the micro-blogging site for nearly two hours on the day.
