Veteran journalist Hasan Pulur buried in Istanbul
Veteran Turkish journalist Hasan Pulur has laid to rest in Istanbul following a funeral in Istanbul that drew a large number of journalists and lawmakers.
Pulur died from organ failure at Florence Nightingale Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment for the past six months.

Veteran journalist Hasan Pulur dies at 83
Prominent journalist and columnist Hasan Pulur, who passed away on Nov. 29 at the age of 83, will be laid to rest in Istanbul on Dec. 1 after an official ceremony.

Veteran Turkish journalist, author Çetin Altan dies at 88
Çetin Altan, a prominent figure in the Turkish journalism history, died on Oct. 22 of pneumonia-driven respiratory failure and septic shock. He was 88.
Altan had been hospitalized in June and was later discharged. However, he was hospitalized at Fatih University hospital in the Maltepe district of Istanbul as his condition worsened.

Medine Dilek Y?ld?r?m was a 5-year-old girl when her picture was taken for the "Dad, Send Me to School" campaign 10 years ago. She was living in the village of Meydandere in the southeastern Siirt province.
If it weren't for the "Dad, Send Me to School" campaign, Medine would be a girl in the statistics without a name.

Journalist probed for 'insulting' Turkish president
An investigation has been launched into veteran journalist Hasan Cemal over his recent article titled "The Sultan in the Palace is culpable for the bloodshed," Cemal has told daily Hürriyet.
Cemal was summoned to testify on Sept. 17 and the probe was launched purportedly on the charge of "insulting the Turkish president" in his article published on news website T24 on Aug. 12.
Ericsson plans to establish 4.5G plant in Turkey
Ericsson is pushing the button to establish a 4.5G plant in Turkey and awaits clarification on the criteria for locally produced equipment to start its investment, as reported by Turkish daily Milliyet.
The Swedish giant will train Turkish software developers as well, according to the report.
