Tirana to host NATO's effort to dissuade jihadi hopefuls

According to Albanian Defense Minister Mimi Kodheli, NATO has accepted a proposal to open "a center to help prevent" people from joining terrorist groups.

AP reported on Friday that Kodheli said the proposal was approved "a few days ago" and that it came "at a time when the phenomenon of the foreign terrorist fighters has reached considerable levels."

Macedonia's Foreign Minister Visiting Albania to Boost Cooperation

Macedonia's Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki is visiting Albania on Monday as part of intensified contacts between the two Balkan neighbours.

Poposki is scheduled to meet his Albanian counterpart Ditmir Bushati and Prime Minister Edi Rama as well as the head of the foreign affairs committee in Parliament, Arta Dade, the Foreign Ministry in Skopje said in a press release.
