The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization has decided to collect taxes from manufacturers and importers of oil, electronic goods, pharmaceuticals and beverage packaging under the name of "recovery share."

In connection with the information that has appeared in the media, we inform you that neither the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria, nor the Ministry of Environment and Water are negotiating with Italy for the acceptance of waste generated in the city of Rome or other Italian cities.

The Ministry of Environment will make efforts to urgently address the environmental issues signalled by the European Commission in the letter of formal notice sent this Thursday, the ministry said in a release.

Within the scope of the Zero Waste Program, a new campaign called the Zero Waste Blue Project is being initiated to protect seas and water resources. The project hopes to collect a total of 50,000 tons of waste, including 30,000 tons of plastic, during the summer season.
