Miroslav Miskovic to be retried on tax evasion charges
BELGRADE - The Belgrade Court of Appeals has acquitted Delta Holding owner Miroslav Miskovic of charges of fraud against road maintenance companies, throwing out a part of a first-instance ruling handing him five years in prison and an 8 mln dinar fine for assisting his son Marko in an approx. 3 mln euro withholding tax evasion.
Miroslav Miskovic acquitted on one charge, faces retrial on another
Miroslav Miskovic was on Wednesday acquitted on charges of financial abuses involving road maintenance companies.
The final verdict passed by the Court of Appeals in Belgrade also ordered that he face retrial on charges of tax evasion.

The Special Court in Belgrade on Friday found Marko Miskovic guilty of tax evasion and sentenced him to 3.5 years in jail.
Miskovic is the son of Miroslav Miskovic, the owner of Delta Holding.
Delta City shopping malls sold for over EUR 200 million
B92 on Tuesday received confirmation that Miroslav Miskovic's Delta Holding had sold its Delta City shopping centers in Belgrade and Podgorica.
South Africa-based investment fund Hyprop Investment announced that it had acquired the shopping centers for a total of EUR 202.75 million.

Zoran Ivosevic, a legal expert and former president of Serbia's Supreme court, told BIRN that there was no direct link between the demand by Miskovic's legal team for his bail payment to be refunded and a court ruling that his rights had been violated by extended custody.
