Glass Viewing Platform in China Wins Guinness Record

The glass viewing platform in Huangshi Hubei province entered the Guinness Book of Records as the largest glass platform.

Located in the "Sky City" landmark, which opened doors for visitors on Jan. 26th, the platform was named "Sky mirror". It was built with 500 tons of steel and 1,500 square feet of glass, the largest piece of glass is 18 square meters.

In 1902, Hungarian artist Tivadar Kostka Csontvary created a painting called ‘Old Fisherman’. Nothing unusual so far. But if you place a mirror smack down the middle of the painting the nice old fisherman’s expression changes to a terrifying devil. The optical illusion is eerie.

The Unseen Museum showcases the Mirror of Europe

After the exhibit Artemis from the sea at the National Archeology Museum, the Unseen Museum presents the the Mirror of Europe. “The Mirror of Europe” is a bronze mirror of the early 4th century BC, discovered in a tomb of rich woman from ancient Eretria. On its surface, you can see the wonderful representation of Europe on the bull.

Animals see themselves in mirror, deep in the jungle (Video)

Innovative French photographer Xavier Hubert Brierre travelled to Gabon with his wife and set up a mirror in several locations in order to capture animals walking by.

The French photographer recorded the reactions of wild animals who see themselves in a mirror, in a Gabon forest. The reactions are precious and sometimes quite funny.
