The Foreign Affairs minister Bogdan Aurescu hailed on Wednesday the beginning of gas deliveries to the Republic of Moldova, saying it is a symbolic momentum, as for the first time gas is running from West to East.

The Moldovan minister of Foreign Affairs, deputy premier Natalia Gherman said she is absolutely certain that the projects for the Republic of Moldova's getting European and modern will be voted by all the political parties as soon as they will be tabled in the Chisinau Parliament.

President Klaus Iohannis on Wednesday welcomed at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace Moldovan Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman, with the Moldovan Minister reasserting on the occasion the determination of the Chisinau Government to carry on along the country's pro-European track.

Moscow says claims Moldova is its "next target" are "absurd"

MOSCOW -- NATO Supreme Allied Commander for Europe's statement about Russia "using frozen conflicts" as an instrument of political pressure are "absurd."

During a two-day official visit to neighbouring Moldova, Romania's new President, Klaus Iohannis, said Romania remains an "anchor of stability in the region" as well as a "partner of neighbouring Moldova and Ukraine on their path to Europe".

President Klaus Iohannis believes the Republic of Moldova has on its European path "a great chance which is called Romania."

AGERPRES special correspondent Florentina Peia reports: President Klaus Iohannis on Tuesday said that he discussed with his Moldovan counterpart Nicolae Timofti about the evolutions of Ukraine, pointing out that both see Romania as an anchor of stability in the region and a solid partner of Chisinau and Kiev on their path to Europe.
