Molotov cocktails thrown by minors after student rivalry
An incident of violence occurred on Thursday at the 2nd High School of Moschato in southwestern Athens when a group of about ten people carried out an attack with Molotov cocktails.
Around 2 p.m. on Thursday, three Molotov cocktails were thrown, while only one exploded.
No injuries were recorded, while the police arrested eight minors for violating the arms law.
Suspects in riot during migrant wreck protest arrested
The 21 people, including two minors, arrested for rioting during Thursday's gathering in the center of Athens to protest Wednesday's shipwreck tragedy were referred to an investigating judge on Friday.
Boy called the police after the massacre: I'm Kosta Kecmanović, I shot several people
Veselin Mili, head of the Belgrade Police Department, said that the student called the police and said: "I am Kosta Kecmanovi", and reported that he had shot several people.
On this occasion, 8 students died, 7 girls and one boy.
Police come under attack in Exarchia
Successive Molotov cocktail attacks against the police were launched by unknown persons late Friday and early Saturday morning in the central Athens district of Exarchia.
Police said the spate of incidents began at 12.20 a.m. with an attack with firebombs and other objects against police officers on Kolettis Street.

Thousands join protests, strikes over train disaster
Tens of thousands of people took part in protests and strikes in Greece on Thursday amid lingering anger over last month's train collision near Tempe, the deadliest in the country's history. A group of protesters hurled petrol bombs at a police cordon near Parliament in central Athens, prompting MAT riot officers to respond with tear gas and sound grenades, disrupting a largely peaceful rally.
More than 40,000 people marched in Athens according to the police
The Hellenic Police estimates that more than 40,000 people marched in central Athens on Wednesday to protest the rail collision at Tempe last week that left 57 people dead. Sources from the Citizen Protection Ministry also pointed out that the march was a mostly peaceful affair.
Twenty-four protesters arrested after clashes with police at education bill rally
Twenty-four people were arrested and charged on Thursday in connection with the the violence that erupted in central Athens during a demonstration against an education bill, police said.
Officers had originally detained 52 people. The charges are not yet known.
Dozens detained after police attacked in Menidi
Police said on Thursday they detained 35 people over a Molotov cocktail attack on a Dias motorcycle unit in Menidi, northeast Attica late on Wednesday night.
According to reports the incident occurred after a group of people gathered outside a local primary school in Liosia.
As soon as they saw the police, they launched a hail of stones and Molotov cocktails on the unit.

Police find stash of Molotov cocktails in Exarchia
Police said that 20 Molotov cocktails were found and seized in the courtyard of an abandoned building in the central Athens district of Exarchia on Tuesday.
A backpack and a metal cutter were also found.
An investigation has been launched.

Police precinct in northern Athens targeted with petrol bombs
Unidentified assailants attacked the Nea Ionia police precinct in northern Athens with Molotov cocktails early Monday morning.
According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), the incident occurred at 4 a.m. when a group of about 10 people approached the police station at the junction of Irakleiou Avenue and Kosta Varnali Street and threw four Molotov cocktails.
