Greece: Athens police clash with protesters
Tear gas was deployed in the Greek capital as protesters threw Molotov cocktails at riot officers. The stand-off took place after the authorities banned rival demonstrations by a police union and anarchists.
The violence erupted Thursday night near the National Technical University of Athens, in the city center, local media and Ruptly news agency reported.

Two police officers injured in clashes with anarchists
No arrests were made on Thursday after clashes in the downtown Athens district of Exarchia between riot squads and self-styled anarchists resulted in the injury of two police officers, albeit lightly.

Police attacked in Exarchia
Two 17-year-olds and one 18-year-old appeared before a prosecutor on Saturday after being arrested earlier in the day for their role in a series of attacks against riot police in the central district of Exarchia.

Clashes in Athens during anti-government rally! (VIDEO-PHOTOS)
Extremists that infiltrated the anti-government rally in Athens threw petrol-bombs (molotov cocktails incendiary bombs) to the police forces, bringing chaos for a quite a few minutes.
The extremists also attacked the van of a TV channel causing serious damages to it.
The anti-riot police responded with the use of tear gas in order to disperse them.

The 2016-17 final of the Greek FA Cup, which was supposed to be a celebration of football, was unfortunately marred by widespread clashes between police forces and hooligans on both teams in the city of Volos, resembling more a war zone than an athletic meeting. Police reported 70 injuries, but surprisingly made no arrests.
Turkish consulate in Thessaloniki attacked by Molotov cocktail
The Turkish consulate in Greece's Thessaloniki was attacked by a small group with Molotov cocktails early on April 23, Doğan News Agency has reported.
The group with their faces covered threw two Molotov cocktails at police officers at the consulate at 5:30 a.m., but only one of them caught fire.
There were no injuries or material damage in the attack, the agency said.
