Helmos Mountain Festival embraces nature at UNESCO geopark
Nature buffs have the chance to spend four days enjoying a UNESCO-listed global geopark next month, at the Helmos Mountain Festival. In its second installment, running from June 21 to 24, the event at the Kalavrita Ski Center offers ample opportunity to connect with nature.
Bulgaria: The Vitosha Lifts will Stop for Maintenance until the Beginning of Winter
This weekend is the last of the season in which the lifts of Vitosha Mountain will operate. The facilities go into preventive maintenance until mid-December, according to a press release. During the entire summer season, 3 lifts operated on Vitosha - Simeonovo Gondola, Vitoshko Lale 1 and Vitoshko Lale 2.
Ski-maker Elan branching out into e-bikes
Elan, a Slovenian company with a 78-year tradition in development and production of skis, is adapting to shorter winters by expanding into other sports. After launching a water sports collection two years ago, Elan has now presented two new models of electric bikes.
