Russian fund eager for joint investment with Turkey in media, TV series
Popular throughout much of the region, Turkish soap operas have attracted a new suitor in the form of a young Russian businessman who hopes the television series can improve people-to-people relations and become a promising area for future partnership between the two countries.

Istanbul is hosting an unusual exhibition titled âMagnificent Century: The Great Exhibitionâ of costumes, decorations and accessories used in a popular Turkish television series on the life of 16th-century Ottoman Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent.

‘Magnificent Century’ bids farewell to TV viewers after four seasons
Turkeyâs most popular TV series âMuhteÅem Yüzyılâ (Magnificent Century), which has reached hundreds of millions around the world, had its finale with the 139th episode on June 12.
The main character of the series, the 16th-century Ottoman Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent, played by Halit Ergenç, died in the final episode during his expedition to Zigetvar.
