Retrial ordered in Mariposa botnet case after coder serves prison sentence
Ljubljana – Coder Matjaž Škorjanc, who has already served his almost five year prison sentence for masterminding a major botnet, will go on trial again after the Constitutional Court annulled the 2013 guilty ruling and two higher-instance court rulings, returning the case to the Maribor District Court for retrial, Večer newspaper reported on Saturday.

Facebook thanks Greek Police for helping take down Lecpetex botnet
Facebook has thanked Greek Police for its help in taking down a little-known spamming botnet called Lecpetext.
We would like to thank the Head of the Greek Cyber Crime Division and the police officers involved for the professionalism they showed while investigating this malware, the California-based company said in a statement posted on its website.
Veljovic:Pescanik website attack investigation, results soon
BELGRADE - The police are working on identifying the persons who disabled the Pescanik website, and the results are expected to arrive these days, Police Director Milorad Veljovic stated on Wednesday.
