A 14-year-old boy has died after falling from a height in a stadium in the town of Nafplio in the Peloponnese.

Initial reports said the boy fell from a considerable height at the town's municipal stadium shortly after 1 p.m.

The teenager was found by a security guard, who called for an ambulance.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.

A tragic incident occurred at around 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, at the Nafplio Municipal Sports Center (DAK Nafplio).

According to initial reports, a minor, aged between 10 and 12, fell from the stadium stands under currently unknown circumstances and lost his life.

The Arvanitia promenade and beach, beneath the towering Palamidi fortress in the town of Nafplio in the Peloponnese, are battered by waves during a storm on Monday. Conditions around the country are expected to improve from Tuesday.
