Bulgarian lawmakers have rejected a motion that would have revoked the secrecy protecting credit files of politicians at Corporate Commercial Bank (KTB).

The bill was proposed by Yordan Tsonev, an MP from the liberal Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) who was also the Chair of the outgoing Parliament's Budget and Finance Committee.

Far-Right MP Quits His Parliament Group of Last Day of Work

Galen Monev, a lawmaker from far-right Ataka party, has deposited his resignation as part of the group in Bulgaria's Parliament.

Parliament Fails to Reach Quorum, As GERB MPs Do Not Attend Session

Today's plenary session has been canceled due to a lack of quorum as Bulgaria's opposition party GERB refused to register in Parliament.

A total of 95 MPs from Bulgaria's Socialist Party (BSP) and from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) have attended Thursday's session. Parliament Speaker Mihail Mikov has scheduled the next hearing for Friday.
