Defendants face up to 22 years in collapsed building case
A prison sentence of up to 22 years and six months is being sought for each of the defendants in the lawsuit regarding the Galeria Complex in the southern province of Diyarbakır that collapsed in the deadly Feb. 6 quakes and claimed the lives of 89 people.
Handler of crashed jet ski arrested
The 32-year-old handler of the jet ski that crashed onto a wooden hut on Crete, leaving one 10-year-old boy seriously injured, was arrested on Thursday.
According to a statement released by the Hellenic Coast Guard, the 32-year-old man is being charged with a count of violating the safety of transportation and one of negligent bodily harm.

Man faces arson charges over Tsameika fire
A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a wildfire that broke out on Monday in the area of Tsameika, near the port city of Patra in the western Peloponnese.
The man is facing charges of arson by negligence as he reportedly started the blaze accidentally while carrying out farm work, the Athens-Macedonian News Agency reported on Tuesday.

Man arrested over Monday's wildfire in western Peloponnese
A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a wildfire that broke out on Monday in the western Peloponnese, in the area of Tsameika, near the port city of Patra.
According to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency the man is facing charges of arson by negligence as he reportedly started the blaze accidentally while carrying out farm work.
Two handed suspended sentences over fatal 2014 fairground accident
The owner of a fairground in the southern suburb of Elliniko and the maintainer of the equipment used on site were handed six-year suspended sentences by a court in Athens on Friday over the death of a 13-year-old boy, and the serious injury of his 9-year-old sister in 2014.
