Patra to host major Olympic memorabilia exhibition featuring 10,000 artifacts

Some 10,000 original pieces from a private collection of Olympic Games memorabilia are going on display in the western port city of Patra on Monday, in a show running until August 3 at City Hall.

The exhibits have been donated by Pantelis Kotzanoulis, who is believed to have the biggest collection of its kind in Greece, with more than 30,000 pieces.

Six months in the making, the “prince” got a little help from United States Soundwall company that featured his images onto a floating aluminium plate with a raspberry Pi 2 computer hidden behind. Each work emits a specially curated playlist enhancing the viewing experience.
