BELGRADE - Outgoing Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on Monday congratulated Aleksandar Vucic on his victory in the presidential elections, and announced he would "not be returning" to the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).

Serbian National Assembly President Maja Gojkovic expects the country will get a new prime minister in June.
Speaking for the state broadcaster RTS on Tuesday, she explained that president-elect Aleksandar Vucic should take his oath of office before the National Assembly on May 31 - "because that is the date (President) Tomislav Nikolic took his oath of office (in 2012)."

President Nikolic meets with Chinese PM Li
BEIJING - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic met with Chinese PM Li Keqiang in Beijing on Friday as part of a state visit to China.
Nikolic and Li discussed ways of enhancing the mechanisms of cooperation within the 16+1 initiative, China's state news agency Xinhua reported.

Nikolic to visit China, become honorary citizen of Beijing
BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will on March 30-31 pay an official visit to China, where he will meet with his Chinese counterpart and the country's top officials and also be named honorary citizen of Beijing.
