Three arrested in police raid at Zografou university campus

Three suspects, two foreign nationals and one Greek, were detained during a police operation on Saturday morning at the University Campus in Zografou, located to the east of the city center. The operation, primarily targeting the dormitories, was initiated following a series of arson attacks in the area, leading to the destruction of numerous vehicles.

Hand grenade found in a residential complex in Glyfada

A hand grenade was found in an outdoor area of a residential complex in the southern suburb of Glyfada, police said Wednesday. 

The circumstances under which the hand grenade was found have not yet been clarified. 

As soon as the suspicious device was discovered, a team from the bomb disposal unit rushed to the scene to take necessary action.

Police find drugs, pistol, taser in Sfakianakis’ car

An Athens court on Monday gave pop singer Notis Sfakianakis until Wednesday to prepare his defense after he was arrested on Sunday evening on charges of possessing a small quantity of cocaine and an unlicensed pistol. 

He was arrested in the southern Athens suburb of Elliniko during a routine check of his car for compliance with coronavirus restrictions by motorists.

A Man Was Injured after a Grenade Exploded in a Warehouse in Razlog

A man was injured after a grenade exploded in a warehouse in Razlog, BGNES reported.

The incident happened this morning at about 11am. The explosion has injured a worker. He suffered severe hand injuries and was transported to a private hospital in Blagoevgrad by the company. He underwent a major surgery.
