‘Beasts’ who beat up metro official will be brought to justice, says ministry

In a strongly worded press release, the Citizen's Protection Ministry pledged to bring to justice the two young men who punched and kicked a metro station manager in Athens on Wednesday after he asked them to wear their masks in the train, calling them "beasts."

Ethnic Greeks from Albania with Covid-19 hospitalized in Ioannina

Greek authorities approved the transfer of three ethnic Greeks from Albania with Covid-19 to the University Hospital of Ioannina in northwestern Greece for treatment, according to state-run news agency ANA-MPA.

The three patients, who are seriously ill, were driven across the border in Kakavia in ambulances on Monday night.

Medical aid sent to ethnic Greeks in Albania

Pharmaceutical supplies and medical equipment were sent on Wednesday to ethnic Greeks in Albania by the Attica Regional Authority and the association representing relatives of soldiers that died on the Albanian front during World War II.
The supplies were handed by the Consul General of Greece in Gjirokaster, southern Albania, to the medical center of the municipality of Dropull.
