Weather to take a turn for the worse, EMY forecasts in emergency bulletin

The Greek Meteorological Services (EMY) has issued a weather bulletin warning forecasting a sudden turn of conditions with topical storms and hail starting on Monday from the region of Macedonia in northern Greece. The phenomena are expected to gradually cover the rest of the country until Wednesday.

The Greek Meteorological Services (EMY) have issued a bulletin warning for the deterioration of the weather over the weekend. According to the forecast, heavy rains and storms will hit the region of northern Greece starting on Saturday after midday, while hail and strong winds are also expected. The areas affected are:

A total of 53,731 migrants and refugees are trapped in Greece, according to the announcement released by the Management Coordinating Body of Refugee Crisis.

More specifically, there are 13,981 people in Attica region, 8,212 people on the islands and 29,277 in northern Greece, while 10,172 of them are at the camp of Idomeni.
