Cyprus app to compare prices

Following the withdrawal of the Household Basket proposal in Cyprus, the Consumer Protection Agency is now promoting the preparation of a bill for the provision of a digital tool that will allow for the daily comparison of products' retail prices.

'Black Friday', the next retail sales, will take place on November 25 this year and will include major offers, market representatives said, who also welcomed the end of the interim sales that used to take place in the beginning of November.

Ljubljana – Online shopping has retained the popularity gained during the Covid-19 pandemic with three out of four of those questioned in a survey commissioned by Mastercard Slovenija saying they shop online at least sometimes. A growing number make their purchases at Slovenian sites.

Retailers see decline in turnovers

Retailers in Turkey made a rather weak start into 2022 as their businesses declined in January more than usual.

Turnovers of retailers fell by 20 percent in the first month of this year compared with December 2021, according to a survey the United Brands' Association (BMD) conducted among member companies.
