Türkiye will continue its fight against terrorism decisively and is poised to resolve problems stemming from the PKK's terrorist presence in northern Iraq this summer, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has vowed, calling on relevant parties to respect Türkiye's security concerns.

The PKK's April 16 attack in northern Syria, in which four Turkish soldiers were wounded, has been "retaliated," and a total of 10 terrorists have been neutralized, Defense Minister Hulusi Akar has said.

The treatment of the soldiers injured after the attack on the Olive Branch and Euphrates Shield operations' base areas is ongoing, Akar told the media on April 17.

Security forces have "neutralized" five terrorists in northern Iraq and northern Syria, the Defense Ministry has announced.

In a statement released on Feb. 27, the ministry said that four PKK/YPG terrorists were neutralized after they opened harassing fire and attempted to infiltrate the Operation Peace Spring zone in northern Syria.

Turkish forces "neutralized" at least nine YPG/PKK terrorists in northern Syria, across Turkey's border, authorities said yesterday.

According to the Defense Ministry, the terrorists attempted to attack the Operation Peace Spring zone, where Turkey carried out a cross-border operation in 2019.

Two Turkish special operations police officers were killed and two others were wounded when the PKK's Syrian offshoot carried out a terrorist attack in northern Syria, Turkey's interior minister said on Oct. 10.

The head of the European Union delegation to Turkey on Feb. 17 praised the country's efforts in the fight against climate change. 

Turkey's defense minister and top force commanders on May 23 carried out inspections along the border where southern Turkey meets northern Syria, according to security sources.

Hundreds of terrorists in Syria and northern Iraq have been neutralized as part of Turkey's cross-border counter-terrorism operations since the start of 2020, the Turkish defense minister said on May 20. 
"Our fight against terror in Syria and northern Iraq continues without pause- 1,411 terrorists have been neutralized since Jan. 1," Hulusi Akar said.

Two civilians were killed and 12 others injured in mortar and rocket attacks by YPG/PKK terrorists from Syria at Turkey's border provinces, officials said on Oct. 15.

Turkey's defense minister on Oct. 12 said that targeting the U.S. observation point in Syria was out of question during the ongoing counter-terror operation.
