Istanbul's Reina nightclub demolished five months after ISIL attack
Istanbul's famous Reina nightclub, in which 39 people were killed in an Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) attack on Jan. 1, was demolished on May 22.
In a statement, the Istanbul Municipality said some parts of the nightclub had been built against the law.

"Liparidas!"… Remembering the word, her face instantly lights up with joy. She travels back to her childhood in Ortaköy, a neighborhood once densely populated by Jews in Istanbul. One could apparently see that she feels the taste, too. This is one of the highlights of the delightful documentary by Deniz Alphan shown at the special screening section of the 36th Istanbul Film Festival this year.

Abdulkadir Masharipov, who killed 39 people in an attack on an Istanbul nightclub on the New Year's eve has been detained in the city's Esenyurt district, sources have confirmed.
The attacker was caught as his son was near him.

Two foreign nationals linked to the deadly attack on an Istanbul nightclub on New Year's Eve were arrested by
an Istanbul court on Jan.13, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
Two suspects Omar Asim and Abuliezi Abuduhamiti, who are Chinesecitizens, are accused of "being member of an armed terror organization," and"helping 39 times first-degree-murder".
