Snowfall blankets the Shipka Pass and the Republic Pass in Bulgaria, significantly reducing visibility in the region. While the roadway has been cleared and treated with sand, icy patches persist, posing risks for drivers. The temperature plunges to minus 11 degrees at Shipka Pass, exacerbating the potential for hazardous icing.

A serious accident between three cars took place on the Burgas - Pomorie road. Two people died in the accident, four others were injured. Among the victims there is also a mother and child, who were transported to a Burgas hospital for treatment.

The accident happened around 1:00 p.m. Fire crews are trying to extricate two other people who are stuck in the hit cars.

Again a situation with a child behind the wheel in Bulgaria. The boy was filmed sitting on a driver's lap and driving a bus with passengers on the Trakia highway.

The video was shot on Sunday around 11:00 a.m. on the Burgas-Sofia road. According to the onlooker who sent the signal to Nova TV, the vehicle was curving on the road.

In a bid to tackle the scourge of double parking, traffic police will soon be unleashed in Athens and other major urban centers with tablets to identify offenders and directly calculate the fines, which will be transmitted directly to TAXISnet. 

A driver with a 12-year-old child on his lap was driving at 120 km/h on the Trakia highway. The incident happened on May 18, bTV reported.

Tomorrow and Saturday, in order to facilitate traffic during peak hours, the movement of vehicles over 12 tons will be restricted between the 5th and 23rd kilometers of the Trakia highway in the direction of Burgas, reported the Road Infrastructure Agency.

New, tougher measures for drunk and drugged drivers, as well as those who drive at excessive speed, are already in place in Bulgaria. The changes concern the number of points that are deducted from drivers for violations.

A car crashed and subsequently caught fire on the "Trakia" highway in Bulgaria. One person died in the accident, the Ministry of the Interior stated.

The regional directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Plovdiv is taking additional measures regarding the effective provision of road safety given the increased car traffic to the Black Sea and other resort centers in the country.

The traffic on the highways on the first day off is intense, and the capital traditionally starts to be deserted.

Drivers coming and going from Sofia must be careful, because due to the repair of the tunnel "Echemishka" traffic jams are formed.
