Turkish floating plant starts power supply to Sudan
Turkey's floating power plant, the Karadeniz Powership Rauf Bey, started electricity production in Sudan, a member of the Istanbul-based Karadeniz Energy Group, Karpowership, announced on May 22.
Pakistan to pay $800 bln in fine to Karkey
The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ISCID), an arm of the World Bank, fined the Pakistani government up to $800 million in an arbitration case launched in 2013 by Karkey Black Sea Energy Group (Karkey), a Turkish firm that runs power generation sea vehicles.

Turkey trains hundreds of Pakistani military personnel
A total of 1,494 Pakistani military personnel have received military education in Turkey since a bilateral agreement was signed in March 2001, according to a Turkish military source.

Pakistan to deport teachers linked to Gülenists
Pakistan has ordered Turkish teachers at schools with alleged links to the U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen to leave the country, as it prepared to host President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The teachers and their families, totaling roughly 450 people, were given three days' notice to leave, PakTurk International Schools and Colleges said in a statement late on Nov. 15.

Turkey, Pakistan free trade deal to be ready in December
A free trade agreement between Turkey and Pakistan will be ready to be signed in December, according to Ankara's ambassador to Islamabad.
Ambassador Sadık Babür Girgin said President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will arrive in Pakistan on Nov. 16 for a two-day visit, during which bilateral relations will be discussed and a business forum between Turkey and Pakistan is planned.

Turkish power ship to supply electricity to Zambia
Turkey's Karadeniz will in the next two weeks begin supplying Zambia with electricity from a power-generating ship as it looks to take advantage of chronic shortages in Africa, the company said on March 2.
Karadeniz builds what are effectively floating power stations which plug into electricity grids after berthing. They run on fuel oil but can also use natural gas.
