Police detain HDP deputy head Aysel Tuğluk in Ankara
Police on Dec. 26 detained Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) deputy head, Aysel Tuğluk, in Ankara, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
Tuğluk was detained early in the morning by counter-terrorism police as part of an investigation launched by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the agency said.
HDP MP, deputy parliament speaker Pervin Buldan released after testifying in Istanbul
Kurdish issue-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Istanbul MP and deputy parliament speaker Pervin Buldan was released on Dec. 23 after briefly testifying to a prosecutor in Istanbul, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
Buldan was detained by the police at her residence in Istanbul in the early hours of the morning.

Police on Dec. 23 detained Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MP and deputy parliamentary speaker Pervin Buldan in Istanbul, the party announced in its Twitter account.
Buldan was detained at her residence in Istanbul in the early hours of the morning.
Buldan also tweeted that she was being detained.
The HDP focuses on the Kurdish issue.

Turkish Parliament speaker meets parties after punches fly at General Assembly
Parliament Speaker İsmail Kahraman brought together the group deputy chairpersons of all parties at Turkey's parliament on Dec. 13, after fists flew once again at the General Assembly on Dec. 12.

The Kurdish issue-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) has returned to parliamentary work after boycotting it since Nov. 6, HDP spokesperson Ayhan Bilgen has said, adding that the intra-party discussion over the return is continuing.
"We are here for now. And we will be here," Bilgen said at the HDP's parliamentary group meeting in the capital Ankara on Nov. 22.
