Greek police clashed with protesters in central Athens on Tuesday evening during a march in support of a far-left jailed terrorist.
Riot police fired teargas against protesters who were near central Stadiou Street. Streets around Syntagma square were closed off to traffic due to the march.

Police arrest Rouvikonas leader; another threatens judges
Police announced the arrest of an unnamed leader of the self-described "anarchist collective" Rouvikonas on Saturday.
The 53-year-old self-styled anarchist was arrested late on Friday after the group raided a law office that also serves as a debt collection agency on behalf of a bank.
Anarchist group claims responsibility for Russian consulate attack
A self-proclaimed anarchist group calling itself "Collusion for Revenge FAI/IFR Mikhail Zhlobitsky Cell" has claimed responsibility for an explosion caused by a hand grenade thrown outside the Russian Consulate in Athens on March 22.
Members of the group threw a hand grenade at the fence beside the consulate's security guard post, causing minor damage but no injuries.

A group called Anarchists claimed responsibility for the attack against an ELTA post office branch located inside the campus of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki on February 15.
The group said the attack was done to express solidarity with Spyros Christodoulou, a jailed robber who has been on a hunger strike for more than a month.
