Samsun breads take top two spots on 'world's best' list
Two Turkish breads, both hailing from the northeastern province of Samsun, have been recognized as the world's best according to TasteAtlas, a leading online resource for global gastronomy.

Prominent journalist Hasan Kılıç dies aged 79
Senior journalist Hasan Kılıç, a former employee of Hürriyet and the Turkish Journalism Association (TGC) member, has died at the age of 79 on Dec. 18.
Kılıç, who worked at Hürriyet for 34 years, died of a heart attack.
