Greek, Chinese leaders vow to deepen strategic ties

Surfer, 82, missing off Salamina

Rescue teams including coast guard officers and private parties were searching Friday for an 82-year-old windsurfer who went missing off the island of Salamina, near Piraeus.

The man reportedly disappeared in the area of Selinia when winds reached speeds of 5 to 6 Beaufort.

On a visit on Friday to the port of Piraeus, where Chinese shipping giant Cosco controls two cargo terminals, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang expressed Beijing's interest in investing in Greece's railway network in order to accelerate the transport of goods to Europe.
