Talks for the Swedish bid to join NATO will continue in the coming period, a statement from the Turkish Communications Directorate has said, following a key meeting for the Nordic state's accession to the alliance.

The PKK announced the End of Ceasefire with Turkey
Kurdish PKK fighters have ended a unilateral ceasefire with Turkey that they announced after the earthquake earlier this year, reports AFP.
The announcement, carried by pro-Kurdish media, threatened to lead to a return to the violence that has claimed tens of thousands of lives since the PKK began its fight for an autonomous state in southeastern Turkey in 1984.

Supreme Court demands blockage on HDP’s election aid
The Supreme Court of Appeals has requested the freezing of the more than 400 million Turkish Liras ($17 million) in treasury aid, which was allocated to the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) for its election campaign, on the grounds that the party did not participate in the May 14 elections.

The National Intelligence Organization (MİT) has "neutralized" a senior leader of the PKK terrorist organization, who was on the wanted list, and two other terrorists in northern Iraq.
MİT identified the location of ringleader Fehmi Öğmen, codenamed Sinan Dijvar, and his team operating on behalf of the PKK terror group in northern Iraq.

Türkiye urges Sweden for concrete steps on NATO bid

With around a month left for NATO critical leaders' summit scheduled to take place in Vilnius, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has spoken over the phone with his Swedish and American counterparts separately to reiterate that Türkiye expects Sweden to take concrete steps in line with the trilateral agreement if it wants to join the alliance.
Energy regulator attacked by activist group
Members of the anarchist activist group Rouvikonas attacked the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) on Wednesday and damaged the authority's offices at Piraeus Street on Wednesday.
Specifically, 10 individuals entered through the building's main entrance and began vandalizing the walls and spray painting slogans.
