Serbia and Azerbaijan "always support each other"

Speaking to reporters after meeting with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev in Baku on Monday - whom he invited to visit Belgrade - Aleksandar Vucic thanked Aliyev for supporting the territorial integrity of Serbia, and added that Serbia also supports Azerbaijan in this regard.

"Mutual support exists and these positions will not change in the future," Vucic said.

Turkish FM says Khojaly massacre a 'crime against humanity' at commemoration

The 1992 Khojaly massacre in Nagorno-Karabakh was a "crime against humanity," Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated on Feb. 22. 

"We have never forgotten Khojaly and we will [never] forget it," Çavuşoğlu told the Khojaly Genocide, Crimes Against Humanity and Terrorism conference in the capital Ankara. 

Azerbaijan frees prominent right activist, says lawyer

Azerbaijan on March 28 released from prison a prominent rights activist who had been jailed on economic charges which his supporters denounced as politically motivated, his lawyer said.

"Azerbaijan's Supreme Court ruled to replace Intigam Aliyev's initial seven-and-a-half-year sentence with a suspended sentence of five years," lawyer Javad Javadov told AFP.

Aliyev: Serbian-Azerbaijani relations are developing quickly

BELGRADE - President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met on Thursday with Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic and said that the relations between Serbia and Azerbaijan are developing quickly, having reached a significant level in a rather short time, stressing that the prospects of investing in Serbian economy are interesting for Azerbaijan.
