Tram services in southern Athens to temporarily halt on June 6 for works
The operation of Athens' tram between Zephyros and Mousson stations in the southern part of the city will stop for about five hours on June 6 due to works for the installation of a pedestrian bridge, it was announced Thursday.

Weekend traffic disruptions
The Piraeus-bound section of coastal Poseidonos Avenue between the Faliro Delta and the port, on which roadworks have been under way in recent months, is to close from 10 p.m. on Saturday as authorities prepare to open a new road.

Roadworks cause huge traffic jam on Athens' Syngrou Avenue
Cars and buses were backed up for several kilometers on the northbound section of Syngrou Avenue, linking the Athens city center to the capital's southern coast, as a result of roadworks on Tuesday.
According to an announcement by the Attica Regional Authority, work to repave parts of the thoroughfare will continue for about two weeks, during which motorists should expect delays.

Parents appeal for leads in son's hit-and-run death
The parents of a 14-year-old victim of a hit and run on southern Athens's busy Poseidonos Avenue appealed to the public for information on Sunday.
The boy, whose full name has no been made public, was hit by an oncoming car on the Glyfada-bound side of the coastal highway early on Friday evening after leaving the Kalamaki Nautical Club.
Attica's 500-mln-euro roadwork plans
Attica is bracing for work to start on road tunnel projects and other similar interventions currently planned for the next few years and budgeted at half a billion euros.
The aim is to improve quality of life and reduce traffic jams, while in some cases - such as at Elliniko - the projects are linked to major development and urban revamp plans.

Urban works on Athens Riviera to start soon
Urban works for the gentrification of the Faliton inlet are scheduled to start soon and are expected be completed in 2 years. The plans involve taking down the elevated road and the construction of a new route on the shore side.
