Istanbul Authorities Ban LGBT Pride Week Events

"We have obtained information that between 21.06.2022 (Tuesday) and 23.06.2022 (Thursday) gatherings, press releases, marches, distribution of leaflets, etc. are planned to be held within the scope of the 30th Istanbul LGBTI+ Pride Week," the governors' offices said in a statement.

Kosovo Pride Activists Put Law Under Spotlight

Kosovo LGBT Activists Add Novel Touches to Pride Week
The Third Pride Week in Kosovo began on Monday with a reception in the government building where several top officials, including the President, Hashim Thaci, were present. The opening will continue with Majlinda Hoxha's artistic exhibition, "QUEIN," at the Institute for Urbanism and Design.
Pride Parade Reminds Serbian Govt: We Won’t Give Up
A long column of people attending the Belgrade Pride Parade - motto, "I'm not giving up" - and marking the end of Pride week, passed near the Serbian Presidency building, the city and national parliaments and continued to the government building. The organisers of the event then addressed the crowd about the demands of the community.
Serbian Pride March Awaits PM's Attendance
This year's Pride March in Belgrade kicks off on Sunday at the city's Cvetni Trg [square], from where it will end at Republic Square with an entertainment program.
Nine organisations are reported to be participating in the march, and the organizers have announced that, for the first time ever, the Prime Minister, an open lesbian, will attend as well.

Belgrade mayor to attend Pride Parade
Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali announced on Wednesday that he will attend Sunday's Pride Parade.
Mali told RTS that he expects the gathering to pass peacefully.
"Belgrade is showing itself to be a city without discrimination and with equal rights for all, especially the right to a future," he said.

This year's Pride Week starts in Belgrade
With Monday' opening at Kalemegdan of the exhibition "Tolerance," this year's Pride Week started in Belgrade, Beta is reporting.
It will feature several programs each day until September 17, when it will end with a traditional walk through central city streets.

Belgrade to have "rival" Pride Parades
Pride Parade will be held on Saturday, June 24 in Belgrade, organizers have announced.
Pride Weekend, June 23-26, during which Pride walk is held, is organized by Citizens' Association Egal, Loud & Queer, and the Gay Lesbian Info Center.
