Bulgaria Celebrates 134rd Anniversary Since Unification of Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia
Today, September 6, Bulgaria marks 134rd anniversary of the unification of the Principality of Bulgaria and the province of Eastern Rumelia. A number of formal events will take place throughout the country. The celebrations will culminate in Plovdiv, where the head of state, President Rumen Radev, will take part in a solemn ceremony at Saedinenie Square and will deliver a speech.

Bulgaria Celebrates 107th Anniversary of Declaring Independence
Bulgaria celebrates on Tuesday the 107th anniversary of its independence from the Ottoman Empire, which was declared in the medieval capital of Veliko Tarnovo on 22 September 1908.
This was the third important act towards the restoration of the independent Bulgarian state after it had fallen under Ottoman rule at the end of the fourteenth century.
