Imitation Dairy Products will Now be Sold Only in Individual Packages in Bulgaria
Today's imitation dairy products in the country will only be sold at designated store shelves, and only in individual packages. Non-compliant products should be withdrawn from the market.
The compliance with the rules will be inspected by reviewers from the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency. The new regulation came into force in the middle of last year.
BFSA Reports 198 Inspections of Packed Fruits and Vegetables
The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) said it carried out 198 inspections of packed fruits and vegetables, fresh and frozen, within two weeks, reports Focus News Agency.
UAE Ministry Bans Chicken Imports from Bulgaria
Dubai: The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment on Tuesday announced a ban on the importation of all kinds of birds, chicks, hatching eggs and their non-heated products from Bulgaria, reports GulfNews.
The ban also applies to the import of poultry meat and non-heat treated products and eggs from the affected country.

Bulgarian Food Safety Agency: Over 30 Tonnes of Food Confiscated in August
Sofia. In August, a total of 34,953 kg of food of animal and non-animal origin were earmarked for destruction by food control inspectors of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency, the latter said. The amount of food was confiscated from production sites, warehouses, stores and food service establishments.
Over 280 kg of Unfit Food has been Seized During Black Sea Check-ups
Sofia. Over 280 kg of unfit food was seized following inspections along the Black Sea coast in July, said the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA). In July, BFSA continued to exercise strict control over Black Sea resorts.

According to the Greek press, the import of food includes dried nuts to fruits and vegetables.
They contain chemical substances harmful to health. The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency commented on BNT that regular inspections are being carried out on our territory and there are no data on detected dangerous food at this stage.
Almost 4 Tons of Food will be Destroyed
Nearly 4 tons of food of animal origin will be destroyed after inspectors from the Food Safety Agency made more than 2,800 checks during the holidays, the BNR reported.
The most common violations are unauthorized food sales, shelf-life, non-compliance with storage conditions, and irregular food safety guarantees.

Bulgarian Food Safety Agency Starts Intensified Checks For the Christmas and New Year holidays
The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency starts today intensified checks for the Christmas and New Year holidays, according to bTV.
Food and beverage enterprises, wholesale warehouses, catering establishments, retail outlets, and supermarkets, will be inspected.
Inspectors will monitor the origin, expiry date, storage conditions and proper food labeling.
Over 350 kg of Dangerous Food was Found for Only a Week
For the last week, Inspectors of the Food Safety Departments of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency carried out around 1980 inspections at sites of the commercial network and catering establishments, 395 of which on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Reports Novinite.bg.
