EU pressure on Bulgaria about North Macedonia will be more intense in the coming months, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev predicted on Wednesday at the Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia, which brings together Balkan and EU leaders.

The caretaker Minister of Economy stated that he supports current president Rumen Radev.

A 2-in-1 election contradicts the spirit of our constitutional model, Bulgaria's head of state Rumen Radev told journalists. Presidential and Parliamentary elections were never held on the same day, noted President Radev. Bulgaria should seek a balance between the price of holding separate elections and going to the polling stations on three consecutive Sundays.

President Rumen Radev will present here on Friday morning the third exploratory government-forming mandate to BSP for Bulgaria, which is the third largest parliamentary group in the 46th National Assembly, Radev's Press Secretariat reported on Thursday.

Commenting on the upcoming third cabinet-forming mandate, President Rumen Radev said that time is up for political declarations. "People want to see the Bulgarian Parliament take a clear responsibility. I expect a clear signal from the parties, they must come up with a sustainable formula," he said while visiting the town of Topolovgrad on Sunday.

President Rumen Radev Tuesday holds further consultations with the parties represented in the 46th National Assembly within the constitutional procedure for handing an exploratory mandate for the formation of a government.

The political situation is exacerbated, along with the crises Bulgaria is facing. This brings forth the need to form a regular government within the incumbent National Assembly.
