Property market bullish across sectors

The real estate sector's prospects appear to be bright, at least for the near future, with prices rising and several important projects taking shape.

The growth of tourism positively impacts hotels. According to consultancy Danos/BNP Paribas, 1,400 new hotel rooms are being built in the Athens area, with another 1,100 being refurbished. And that excludes the Elliniko mega-project.

Greece is a “magnet” for 5 star hotels

Following the mass "arrivals" of new units in 2019, plans for new hotels in Athens and the rest of the peripheral units of the country, have not been abandoned. International luxury hotel chains such as Mandarin Oriental, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Edition Hotels, 1 Hotels and Rocco Forte, are some of the well-known international luxury brands, which currently have their eyes on Greece.

Zeus International: Expansion to the Dodecanese hotel market

The management of the Philippion Hotel & Apartments was taken over by the Zeus International group, thus inaugurating its presence in the Dodecanese region. The hotel will undergo a complete renovation which will take place in 2022 and will be a new luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Kos, with a new name the KoSea Boutique Hotel.

The world of 1950s cinema, comics and pop music is brought to vivid life in "Haris Lambert: Put on Your Dancing Shoes," at the Radisson Blu Park Hotel through Monday, July 31. The exhibition, curated by Eleni Athanasiou, brings together a selection of pop art pieces  by the Greek artist which convey the nonchalance of the era in his signature whimsical style.

Mali gunmen hold no more hostages

The hostage situation at Radisson Blu hotel in Bamako, Mali, is finally over according to the AFP.

AFP citing statements of the Minister of Security of Mali has reported that there are no more hostages in the hotel. Based on information, 27 people were killed in today’s bloody attack and among the victims is one Belgian citizen.
