‘Positive’ assessment by Brussels on loan demand
Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis described as "positive" the preliminary assessment by the European Commission regarding Greece's fourth application for a disbursement, this time of 2.3 billion euros from the loan segment, from the Recovery Fund.

Renewed pledge to connect tills with POS
"Combatting tax evasion is our flag," National Economy and Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis said on Monday.
Speaking in Parliament, Hatzidakis underlined that the government will do everything in its power to complete a project of connecting cash machines with card terminals (POS) by the first few months of 2024.

Hoteliers believe tourism recovery will take longer than expected
Ljubljana – The recovery of tourism from the current crisis will take much longer than expected and may even take a generation, warned Gregor Jamnik, head of the Slovenian Hoteliers’ Association. He also pointed to the difficulties in recruiting staff, especially young people, and the uncertainty in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Government approves OUG on elaboration of National Recovery and Resilience Plan
The Government approved, on Wednesday, by emergency ordinance, the amendment and completion of OUG no. 155/2020 regarding some measures for the elaboration of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) necessary for Romania to access reimbursable and non-reimbursable external funds within the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
