The traveling photo exhibition "I Have a Dream", dedicated to the Syrian refugee children in Bulgaria, was launched at the 18th school "William Gladstone" in Sofia on Monday.

Thousands of anonymous Bulgarians donated millions for the refugees through the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC), reports the Sega daily. 

From the summer last year till end of this February, private citizens gave more than  BGN 2 M for the refugees. Separately, in the BRC bank account were collected BGN 109 099, two thirds of which went for food in the refugee centers. 

Twenty-eight illegal immigrants have been detained at Bulgaria's 'green' border in the last 24 hours, Interior Ministry said.

The border police are assisted by additional teams who accompany the detainees, and process documents and police records, News.bg informs.

PANCEVO - The head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport, the Serbian Commissioner for Refugees and Migrations Vladimir Cucic and Pancevo mayor Pavle Radanov on Wednesday visited the collective refugee centre in the city and a site where social housing units will be built for refugees and displaced persons.

An interview with Colonel Pepi Dzhurenov, the person is in charge of the refugee center in Sofia's district of Voenna Rampa, a unit of Bulgaria's State Agency for Refugees.

- Tell us more about the refugee center in Voenna Rampa, what nationalities have been accommodated here?

The United Nations has recommended that people who fled the 1991-95 war in Croatia should no longer have refugee status now the country has joined the EU.

Bulgaria's Interior Ministry and Refugee Agency do not expect a wave of refugees, turned away from other EU countries. 

According to deputy interior minister Plamen Angelov, so far there are single inquiries from Germany and Hungary. 

Angelov told the BNR public broadcaster that the turning away of refugees in the EU is in accordance with the Dublin Regulation.
