All refugee centers in Bulgaria are over 20% overcrowded. "Pastrogor" is overcrowded, as is the refugee camp in Busmantsi. There, with a capacity of 300 people, are currently accommodated more than 420 people. There has not been such a load for the last 2-3 years.

Thirty-six of the people who were arrested are Syrian and one is from Morocco. They have been sent to refugee centres.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has slammed British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss' statement that she will seek an agreement with Türkiye on asylum partnership just like London did with Rwanda, saying the country cannot be considered a refugee camp.

Refugee children who have graduated from schools in Greece and have become integrated in society, including some with gainful employment, live in fear of extradition, as their petitions for international protection are often rejected both upon initial examination and on appeal.

UNHCR Türkiye marked the World Refugee Day with a photography exhibition, "Life Through My Eyes," originating from a series of photography workshops where Turkish and refugee children living in the southeastern province of Mardin came together to reflect on the environment they live in through their own lenses.

"Bulgaria is expected to receive 11 billion euros through the EU for the next 7 years", announced on Nova TV the European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights Nicolas Schmit. He clarified that it is about signing the Partnership Agreement and that a year has passed.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has underlined that developed nations are hosting 2.7 refugees per 1,000, while underdeveloped countries are sheltering more than twice this figure, blaming them for using the global refugee problem as advertising material.

This is the highest percentage of integrated refugees that Bulgaria has achieved in its recent history

Nearly five million Ukrainians have been registered as refugees across Europe since Russia launched its invasion less than four months ago, the United Nations said on Thursday.
