Explosion in Ampelokipi and yafka in Pagrati: Anti-terrorist police investigation
The Anti-Terrorist Service is looking for answers to both the case of the explosion in Ampelokipi and the warehouse-yafka in Pagrati. The arrest of the 49-year-old philologist who paid the rent for the warehouse has so far given no new directions to the investigation, as he is a person who has not been previously charged with a traffic violation.
Police officer honored as a hero at 36, arrested as a fraudster at 40
The story of a 40-year-old police officer has caused a stir within the ranks of the Hellenic Police (EL.AS).
In 2020, he was honored for his service and later retired, but in 2024, he was implicated in a scheme that targeted elderly victims.
Pola Roupa granted conditional release
Pola Roupa, a convicted member of the Revolutionary Struggle terrorist group, was on Friday released from prison.
Reports say, Roupa, now 54, was granted conditional release on the grounds that she is the mother of an underage child.

Van carrying convicted terrorist in Athens pileup
A police van that was transporting a convicted terrorist was involved in a crash with another five vehicles in Athens on Thursday afternoon, lightly injuring two police officers.

Police raid suspected terrorist hideout in Sepolia
Counter-terrorism officers in Athens have raided what they believe to be a second hideout of an escaped convict and suspected member of an urban guerrilla group who was arrested on January 30 while on the run from prison. The suspect, identified as Yiannis Michalidis, had been convicted to 13 years in prison for an armed attack against police in 2015.

Terror group accomplice breaches release terms
Greek police on Friday were seeking a 27-year-old associate of Panagiota Roupa, a leading member of the Revolutionary Struggle guerrilla group, after she violated the terms of her conditional release, failing to report to her local police station.
Constantina Athanasopoulou had been arrested in January 2017 as an associate of Roupa, herself then a fugitive.

Terror convict gets life for 2014 bomb attack outside central bank
Panagiota Roupa, a leading member of domestic terrorist group Revolutionary Struggle, was on Wednesday given a life term, and an additional 25-year sentence, for a car bomb attack outside the Bank of Greece headquarters in central Athens in April 2014.
Group claims police station grenade attack, reiterates threat of escalation
A group calling itself Armed Revolutionary Struggles has claimed responsibility for a grenade attack a police station in the Athens suburb of Kaisariani in the early hours of Monday, in which a bystander was lightly injured.
Maziotis stabbed in prison beating, website claims
Nikos Maziotis, the self-professed leader of the Revolutionary Struggle urban guerrilla group, was attacked in Attica's Korydallos Prison with a knife by fellow inmates, according to a post on an anti-establishment website on Friday.
The post claimed that Maziotis sustained a stab wound to the stomach while "around 10 prisoners" repeatedly punched him in the head and ribs.
