Earthquake 4,3 Richter in Kalavryta

Earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale occurred shortly before 3 a.m. on Tuesday (5/11) in Kalavrita.

The epicenter of the tremor was located 16 kilometers west southwest of Kalavryta and the focal depth was estimated at 70 kilometers, according to the Revised Solution of the Geodynamic Institute.

No damages have been reported.

Earthquake 5,2 Richter in Halkidiki

Two earthquakes struck within minutes of each other on Sunday evening (November 3) in Halkidiki.

Specifically, according to the automatic readings from the Geodynamic Institute, the first earthquake occurred at 19:03 with a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale. Its epicenter was located 12 kilometers south of Nea Moudania, Halkidiki, with a focal depth of 5 kilometers.

An 4.4 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale hit Thebes – It was felt in Attica as well

An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale occurred shortly after 9:15 AM in Thebes, according to the automatic solution from the Geodynamic Institute of Athens.

Specifically, the epicenter was located 4 kilometers south-southwest of Thebes, with a focal depth of 18.7 kilometers.

The earthquake was felt strongly in Attica as well.

Earthquake now: 3.1 Richter near Methoni, off Messinia

An earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale occurred near Methoni, off Messinia, at noon on Wednesday.

According to the Geodynamic Institute, the earthquake occurred at 12:32 p.m. and was centered 32 km south of Methoni, south-southwest of Strophades. The focal depth of the earthquake is estimated at 10 km.

Another earthquake rattles Mount Athos

A 3.7 magnitude earthquake struck the Mount Athos monastic community in northeastern Greece on Monday afternoon. 

The quake hit at 5:29 pm and had a depth of 12 km, according to the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AuTh).

This follows a 4.6 magnitude earthquake on Sunday, preceded by tremors of 4.1 and 3.9 magnitude, and followed by a 3.9 magnitude aftershock.

Earthquake 4,2 Richter off Rhodes

An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning off Rhodes.

The epicentre of the quake was located 26 kilometres southwest of Katavia and the focal depth was estimated at 28.8 kilometer, according to the revised solution of the Geodynamic Institute.

No damage was reported.

Continuous earthquakes of over 4 Richter off Crete – Epicenter is south of Heraklion

Two earthquakes of magnitude 4 and 4.1 were recorded in a short time (just two minutes apart) in the sea area off Crete.

The first earthquake (time 10:22) had a magnitude of 4 Richter, a focal depth of 10 kilometers and an epicenter 32 kilometers southeast of Heraklion’s Mamia.
