46 PKK militants 'neutralized' last week, Turkish military says

Some 46 outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants were "neutralized" in operations in eastern Turkey in the past week, the military said on Aug. 4.         

Authorities use the word "neutralized" in their statements to imply the militants in question were either killed, wounded or captured.     

12 PKK militants killed in airstrikes in Turkey's southeast, northern Iraq

A total of 12 outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants were killed in separate operations in Turkey's southeast and northern Iraq late on July 29, while one soldier was killed in clashes as part of security forces' operations in the eastern province of Hakkari on July 30, the military has stated.

Three construction workers killed in two days by PKK in Turkey's Şırnak

Security forces launched an operation on July 3 against outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants who opened fire on road construction workers, killing two and injuring five others earlier the same day in the Uludere district of the southeastern Şırnak province, Doğan News Agency has reported.

PKK weapons, ammunition seized in Turkey's Şırnak

Security personnel seized a large number of ammunition and explosives believed to belong to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) buried underground in the Uludere district of the southeastern province of Şırnak on June 28.

The Şırnak Governor's Office said the discovery was made upon a denunciation in a dried stream bed in a valley called "Serin" in the Andaç village. 

PKK militant preparing for bomb attack killed in clash with police in Turkey's Malatya

An outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militant was killed in an armed clash with police in the eastern province of Malatya early on June 2, Doğan News Agency has reported.

A local in the central Yeşilyurt district informed police of a militant who was loading bombs that he had previously buried in a cemetery on a vehicle.

Three Turkish soldiers killed in PKK clash in Turkey's Diyarbakır

Three Turkish soldiers were killed and two others were wounded in a clash with outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır on May 31, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported. 

The clash occurred during operations launched by 10,073 security forces officers in six different districts. 

54 PKK militants 'neutralized' in security operations last week

A total of 54 outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants were "neutralized" in security forces operations across Turkey over the past week, the Interior Ministry stated on May 29.
