Electric buses have arrived, but not their chargers
The first 140 electric buses from Chinese company Yutong may have arrived in Athens last weekend - plus another 110 in Thessaloniki - and the time is approaching for their circulation on the road, but Kathimerini understands there are issues with the accompanying equipment.

Boy, 16, hospitalized after being struck by train in Athens
A 16-year-old is being treated in hospital for serious head injuries after being hit by a train in central Athens late on Friday.
The incident occurred on the Proastiakos (suburban) line between Rouf and Tavros stations, at the intersection with Mithymnis Street.

Orient Express with Korina Legaki | Athens | To April 24
Every Friday, Greek vocalist Korina Legaki sings much-loved works from the Greek and international repertoires at the Treno sto Rouf theater at the Rouf railway station in the downtown Athens district of the same name. The venue serves food and drinks in the enchanting setting of an original Orient Express wagon. The performance begins at 9.30 p.m. Admission costs 15 euros.
City of Athens to host Christmas lunch for 1,200 people
The Athens municipal authority will be hosting a Christmas luncheon for some 1,200 of the Greek capital's homeless and poor on Wednesday.
The lunch, which will be held at the Rouf indoor municipal sports arena, will be opened at 1 p.m. by Athens Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis, while there will also be music and gifts.

Athens power cut due to human error
An extensive but brief power outage that affected mainly western Athens on Tuesday morning was the result of a human error, said Greece's electricity grid operator ADMIE.
ADMIE said high voltage transmission lines were turned off at 11:35 a.m. at the public power utility's (PPC) substation at Rouf.

Power outage in western Athens
Several districts of the Greek capital were left without electricity on Tuesday afternoon after a breakdown at a public power utility's (PPC) high-voltage substation in Rouf.
The areas affected include Rouf, Korydallos, Egaleo and Nea Smyrni.
Power is expected to be restored soon, according to SKAI TV.
