BELGRADE - The Russian Embassy in Belgrade organised a reception late on Monday to mark May 9, the Victory Day, and on this occasion Russian Ambassador Alexander Chepurin stated that Serbs and Russians have always been on the side of justice and have demonstrated that victories are scored by those who are backed by the truth and not by those who have the money and power.

Belgrade Gets Statue of Russia's Last Tsar
A new statue of the last tsar of Russia will be erected in Belgrade in the park on Kralja Milana street, near the Russian cultural centre, Ruski Dom.
The monument has been donated by Russia, which will also fund the renovation of the park in collaboration with several Russian companies.

Russia ratifies agreement on military cemeteries with Serbia
MOSCOW - The Federation Council of Russia, upper house of the Russian parliament, ratified on Wednesday the agreements on military cemeteries with Serbia and Slovenia, creating the legal foundation for the maintenance of Russian military cemeteries, monuments and memorials in the territory of these two countries.

MOSCOW - The Russian State Duma, lower house of parliament, ratified on Friday two intergovernmental agreements on military cemeteries, which Russia had signed with Serbia and Slovenia.

“Our aim is to support the Russian people in the name of the Serbian people,” a Serbian volunteer named Milutin Malisic said.
“We are representing Chetnik movement, which is similar to the Russian Cossacks,” he told the Russian agency Itar Tass.
