Four title contenders in the Turkish Super League have made a perfect start to the second half of the season, as challengers Göztepe and Anatolian underdog Kayserispor failed to leave their mark in the title race.

Turkish Super League leader Başakşehir will visit Sivasspor on Dec. 10 after being eliminated from the UEFA Europa League despite a 2-1 win against Braga at Istanbul’s Fatih Terim Stadium on Dec. 7.

Last season’s runner-up Başakşehir made the best of Galatasaray’s flop in the Spor Toto Super League, claiming the top with a 1-0 win against Osmanlıspor on Dec 3.

Turkish Super League leader Galatasaray will take on Aytemiz Alanyaspor on Nov. 25, aiming to recover from its dramatic recent loss against its closest competitor, Medipol Başakşehir, which will face Kayserispor on Nov. 27.

Beşiktaş beat Göztepe in İzmir 3-1 late on Nov. 5, in the Turkish Super League’s 11th match week, while second-place Başakşehir continued to keep the heat on league-leader Galatasaray.

A strong Beşiktaş will seek a first away win since 2005 against Fenerbahçe, another title challenger that suffered a bad start to the season, in the first derby game of the year on Sept. 23. 

The Turkish Super League's defending champion Beşiktaş defeated Konyaspor 2-0 in the closing game of the week at home late on Sept. 18, equalizing matters with Galatasaray on top of the standing. 

Turkish Spor Toto Super League leader Galatasaray hosts minnow city rival Kasımpaşa on Sept. 16, aiming to continue its perfect home record so far this season.

The Istanbul club, which made more than 10 additions to its squad over the summer, has made a fast start to the season, winning its first three games in style before being held to a 1-1 draw at Antalyaspor last week.

Last year's runner-up Medipol Başakşehir will visit Fenerbahçe, another title contender, on Sept. 9 in the highlight game of the weekend at the Turkish Super League in a bid to break the jinx against its city rival.
