Renovated Atlı Köşk welcomes art enthusiasts

Following an extensive nine-month restoration, the Sakıp Sabancı Museum's Atlı Köşk reopened to visitors on Dec. 7.

With renewed presentations of its Arts of the Book and Calligraphy Collection, Painting Collection and Furniture and Decorative Arts Collection, the Atlı Köşk promises a distinctive experience with its expanded display, featuring new acquisitions.

Owner of Turkey’s low-cost Pegasus Airlines, wife, seriously hurt in boat crash off Leros

Ali Sabanci, the chairman of the company that owns Turkey's low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines, was injured in a boat accident while vacationing in Greece, the company said Friday. His wife, businesswoman Vuslat Dogan Sabanci, was also injured.

A statement from Esas Holding did not provide details on their conditions but media reports said the two were seriously hurt.

Sabancı Museum invites Yoga lovers

Organized by the Sakıp Sabancı Museum in collaboration with Cihangir Yoga, Müzede Yoga (Yoga in the Museum) celebrates its 10th anniversary on June 10 with an all-day program. The event will start early in the morning at SSM's Fıstıklı Terrace and continue at the Seed. Participants can register for Yoga classes at the Museum free of charge on the museum's website.

‘The Living Pyramid’ at Sakıp Sabancı Museum

The Sabancı University Sakıp Sabancı Museum (SSM) is hosting "The Living Pyramid" by Agnes Denes, a pioneer of ecological art.

Along with "The Living Pyramid," portraying our relationship with nature as a metaphor for our existence in the world, Denes' Manifesto, written in 1969, is also on display in the SSM garden.

Turk sets two Guinness records by traveling worldwide

A Turkish man, who has earlier broken a Guinness record by traveling 13 countries in 24 hours, has set another record by touring around the world in 46 hours with scheduled flights.

Ümit Sabancı, 41, and one of his friends shook the record book with the groundbreaking record of visiting 13 countries in just 24 hours in 2017.
