Jankovic overcomes Lisicki to set up clash with Konjuh
GUANGZHOU - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic is through to the semi-finals of the Guangzhou WTA tennis tournament after beating Germany's Sabine Lisicki 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 on Thursday.
Second-seeded Jankovic, who is the defending champion, won after 93 minutes of play and is now 6-1 head-to-head against the German.
Jankovic beats Peterson to advance to Guangzhou quarters
GUANGZHOU - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic is through to the quarter-finals of the Guangzhou tennis tournament after Sweden's Rebecca Peterson retired from their Round 2 match on Wednesday.
Second-seeded Jankovic, who was leading 6-1, 1-0, will next play Sabine Lisicki of Germany, who beat Shuai Peng of China 6-4, 6-1.
The prize money in Guangzhou is 250,000 dollars.
Simona Halep, nominated for WTA Shot of the Month
Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, ranked #3 in the world, was nominated for the WTA Shot of the Month for an exchange in the match against Carla Suarez Navarro in the Indian Wells tournament won by the Romanian.

Romania's Halep advances to the semi-finals of the Miami Open 2015 WTA tennis tournament
Romania's tennis player Simona Halep, currently the world's number three, on Wednesday advanced to the semi-finals of the women's singles event of the 5,381,235-US-dollar Miami Open 2015 WTA tennis tournament as she defeated US Sloane Stephens on Wednesday, 6-1, 7-5.

Ivanovic drops out of Miami Masters
BELGRADE - Serbia's Ana Ivanovic finished her Miami Masters campaign following a 7-6 (4), 7-5 defeat by Sabine Lisicki of Germany on Monday morning.
The German will face Italy's Sara Errani, who bested Spanish Garbine Muguruza 4-6, 6-4, 7-5.
The prize money of the Miami tournament stands at USD 6,157.60, and Serena Williams of the U.S. is this year's defending champion.

Ivanovic reaches Miami third round
MIAMI - Serbia's Ana Ivanovic has progressed to the third round of the WTA tournament in Miami courtesy of a deserved victory over Irina Falconi of the U.S. 7-5, 6-7 (4), 6-3.
Ivanovic is now Serbia's only female representative in Miami after Jelena Jankovic, Bojana Jovanovski and Aleksandra Krunic dropped put.

Jankovic eases into Indian Wells semi-finals
BELGRADE - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic has eased into the semi-finals of the WTA tournament in Indian Wells when her opponent Lesia Tsurenko of Ukraine retired with an injury in the second set.
Jankovic enjoyed a comfortable lead of 6-1 4-1 when world No. 85 Tsurenko pulled out with an ankle injury.
